Assignment: Create a poster for a play.

I chose to depict Blanche's corner of the apartment. The white light symbolizes the image of purity that she desperately tries to uphold. Her light is overpowered, though, by the red light, which represents the corruption and carnality (see: red light district) of her past and of her environment, being cast through the window.

This illustration has been accepted into the Society of Illustrators Student Show and the 3x3 Student Show.
